Breaking out the poll....

So, I ordered the Garmin Forerunner 205 Wednesday for the man for his birthday. He loves mine and he really wanted one, especially since he's going to be training for/ running the Marine Corps Marathon with me. Well, yesterday he came home with a limp and a knee brace. He still needs to schedule an MRI, but the doc said it looks as though he may have torn his ACL. As of right now we have no idea what his recovery will be or if he'll actually need surgery. Chances are, running the marathon looks a little dim at the moment. His birthday is next week - should send the Garmin back in and get him something else or go ahead and give it to him and have him choose to return or keep. Either way, he'll still probably want one because he still plans to run in the future(and he may even be fine to run the MCM), I just don't know if I should give it to him now.

I just have to write a little note about how IMPRESSED I am with the campaigns that are going on to keep Jorja on CSI.

I've been a part of the community for five years. Over those years I have loved the fandom for their excitement, intelligence and great writing, but I have also been annoyed by pretentiousness, everyone and their mother thinking they're a mod, and how people gripe over the silliest of things. My status on YTDAW as of late has been more of a "lurker" than a participator, but I still visit the site daily(several times). My love for CSI and GSR is still strong and I'm pretty happy with sharing that love with the few friends that I have personal communication with.

Whether or not the efforts to keep Jorja are successful, it makes me extremely excited and proud to see the community come together like this. From the dollars for sense campaign, to the flyover, sending Jorja plants, the possibility of crowding tptb with balloons - if this doesn't lean our way, at least tptb will always have the lingering thought over whether or not they made a mistake. These efforts may sound excessive, but at this point(it may be too late to change things) I'm all about annoying the hell out of tptb. If it is truly her wish to leave, then I can accept it, but I still want tptb to know how we feel about it.

In two and a half hours, the first flyover will take place. So awesome! Thanks to d_dangerlove for making that possible and for those who contributed towards the next two on Thursday and next Tuesday.
